Today I have Rachel from, Raenovate, sharing her beautiful newly renovated guest bedroom favorites. There are so many personal details in this space! The molding?? So in love!

Favorite Room
14 months ago my husband Tyler and I bought a 90-year-old Craftsman bungalow and we’ve been renovating it one room at a time since closing. Thus far my favorite transformation has been in the guest room! We outfitted the space with custom wainscoting, an innovative double doorway and crown moulding. We also installed new maple hardwood flooring and ran electric for the Good Earth ceiling pendant I picked up at Lowes.
Favorite Textile
Urban Outfitters recently jumped on the chevron bandwagon and created the quintessential chevron bedding collection. I’m in the love with the grey zigzag duvet cover and shams. They’re especially meaningful because we received them from my Mom at my bridal shower.
Favorite Piece of Art & Furniture
My favorite piece of artwork is both great to look at and sentimental. As a wedding gift my maid of honor/best friend/graphic designer, Ferris Caldwell, screen-printed a custom romantic poster for us. Not only does it say ‘True Love’ but the T and R are separated by an ampersand meaning ‘Tyler & Rachel’. And my favorite piece of furniture is also stylish and sentimental. The aqua plastic shell chair was my Grandmother’s sewing chair and every time I look at it I think of her!
Favorite Miscellaneous Item
As much as I love the starburst mirror, plant stand, rattan headboard and Anthropologie switch-plate cover, my favorite miscellaneous item is the double doorway. My husband Tyler designed and installed all of the custom moulding surrounding the Craftsman five-panel doors. Architectural details are just as, or more important than decor!

Really pretty! I actually love the wall color, too. So crisp and clean. Any clue what it is? I’ll go dig around on her blog and see if I can find it!
Amen about the architectural details, LOVE them!

I want to live in this room! Too much? Love that lamp!
thanks to everyone for your kind words! the wall paint is ‘spring melt’ by martha stewart at home depot. it’s minty and subtle at the same time, i’d definitely recommend it! http://www.homedepot.com/buy/paint/paint-samples-posters-fan-decks/martha-stewart-living/8-oz-spring-melt-interior-paint-tester-msl114-79776.html
what a gorgeous room! loving the nightstand!! xo
So beautiful! You guys should go into remodeling for a career – that is some high quality work! I’ve always wanted to renovate a craftsman. Those are 90% of the non-suburban homes here in the PNW so I’m sure I’ll get my chance.
Gorgeous! I love all of the clean lines in the decor & that print is too cute!
Wow those doors are gorgeous. I dream of renovating a home. Thanks for sharing

The bedside table is an oldie but a goodie from West Elm. I bought it years ago when I lived in a studio and it was all that could squeeze into the niche that my bed lived in.
@One Stylish Day at a Time, thank you! Tyler and I do practice professionally. He owns a small carpentry/renovation business and I’m an interior designer.
What a stunning room! I love wainscotting more than I can handle!!
