Reality Check

Yesterday I had a reality check… I’ve lived in place for almost two years and still have a massive to-do list. So, I made the decision to get my house “finished”.
I know, I know. I am realistic, it will never really be done… but at least check some big things off my list.
In the process, I need to keep reminding myself that this is what we started with.

Our family room during construction
When this is all done, hopefully I’ll have lots of gorgeousness to share!
One of my projects to check off is to get this bench reupholstered. How amazing is the shape?? The fabric? Nightmares…
It looks so mini in this picture… like a stool rather than a bench. Sort of scary! Going to look at it right now to reconfirm that this in fact an adult sized piece of furniture I purchased.
Sorry for the seriously lame post today. I’m not feeling great, definitely going back to bed and ignoring the fact that winter is still here.
Goodnight. xoxo

  1. I love that lucite bench, can’t wait to see what fabric you end up putting on it…and your family room is beautiful even pictured without furniture-the dark hardwoods, and the huge windows are divine!

  2. Feel better! I haven’t even moved in to my new place yet and am already having fears that settling in and putting the place together will take forever… Please share the bench progress because I know it will be stunning!

  3. You can do it!! My husband and I are JUST starting our own project… our first house and we are tackling the paint tomorrow!! Yikes! So not too excited about manual labor haha. Oh well. The windows are beyond gorgeous. You can make the most beautiful space with that!

Hope you have a wonderful day! Best of luck ;)
