Unusual light fixtures is one of those luxuries that completely MAKES a room. I have a serious lighting wishlist for my own house. Only 2 of which have been fulfilled since we moved in. The closet and the guest bedroom. Next up, kitchen island and bedroom.
Here are some spaces that are everything because of their lighting

This would be so boring without those bubbles, don’t you think? |

Sort of looks like this fixture, but adorned with vines and flowers. So romantical. |

Seen this before and I LOVE it. A softer more feminine sputnik. |

Don’t even know what to say. Its just good. |
Do you have a light fixture that is #1 on your wish list? Am I insane for writing this passionately about lighting? (don’t answer that one)
You are not insane at all!! I have A LONG list of light fixtures I want!! I think it’s a great way to make a room pop!!!! Love the ones you’re showing here!!
The candles over the table are amazing. Love it.
Xx
I love a pretty fixture too. I am digging the first one in the kitchen!
I really love the first three. I hate that a great light fixture seems to be the biggest part of my budget and always gets left for the end (read: never) of the purchase list. I’m going to start saving my pennies now for a new pretty in my living room!
Absolutely not!
I love a stunning light fixture (like in room #3) but I think ultimately what I love more is a room where natural light pours in through large, open windows.

They’re all so unique! Really love them all especially the first two.
Have a fabulous day, sweetie

#3 is my first pick… I am obsessssed with it! I’m always finding myself searing through overstock.com to see if they have anything fun since lighting can be SO crazy expensive! PS. don’t you wish we could register for it!?!? xo
The first picture is beautiful. I have looked everywhere for something like that and its not easy to find. So pretty it add such elegance to the room
Those are seriously amazing. That fixture with the green chairs…awesome!

You are NOT alone, my friend!!!! I have a few that I would die to have, They are more than my rent and will wait til we get a house….hopefully the Hubs will agree to my crazy taste! (I’m sure he will if he knows whats good!)
I love that first one! Gorgeous.
Lighting was my number one extravagance when I built my home. I posted my most beloved fixture on my blog a few weeks back. It is the Bocci pendant, kind of reminiscent of the first image you posted.
Your selections are stunning!
these are all so gorgeous. the first two are my faves. love them both!
you are not insane. i dream about redoing a kitchen, wallpapering something & redecorating a home multiple times a week.
love that first space…so bright and cheery! thanks for the link, lady

That first one in the otherwise traditional kitchen is great looking…but they are all beautiful the one with the candles is really neat too, probably doesn’t give off a lot of light but it sure is pretty!
The last three are on my wish list as well!
I amm 100% onboard with your obsession. Thase are all fabulous! One and three are my faves.
Wow! That first one is simply amazing!
I totally get the love for lighting fixtures. They can def transform a space!
Nice Post Alex,
Great lighting is so important whether to accent something or find a great fixture that really makes a statement and compliments your decor.
Agree with the first one!
I would love a wine chandelier. But those you have, Im might have to add those to my list as well!
Two words…Serge Mouille- would die a hundred deaths for one of his beauties and totally agree with you, lighting completely transforms a space- gorgeous examples of that here!!
Honestly, I’m pretty sure the list is too long for in the comments section! And you are so right on…the lighting can completely *make* the entire room! The ones I usually swoon over have shine or *sparklies*…I’m pretty much a magpie…
You know lighting is my current dilemma right now. I’ve spent hours trying to find something to replace the bubble chandy with. Thanks for this inspiration!
the feathered one from jayson home & garden is on the top of mine. but seriously unobtainable…
nonsense, lighting and hardware make a room. And maybe pattern and color… either which way I love an awesome fixture over the island. So curious to see what you choose!
I love the lights hanging in the kitchen.. very simple yet very elegant. Thanks for sharing.
