Lavish Lighting

Unusual light fixtures is one of those luxuries that completely MAKES a room. I have a serious lighting wishlist for my own house. Only 2 of which have been fulfilled since we moved in. The closet and the guest bedroom. Next up, kitchen island and bedroom.
Here are some spaces that are everything because of their lighting
This would be so boring without those bubbles, don’t you think?

Sort of looks like this fixture, but adorned with vines and flowers. So romantical.

Seen this before and I LOVE it. A softer more feminine sputnik.

My fantasy light fixture. Seriously. Insanity.
Don’t even know what to say. Its just good.
Do you have a light fixture that is #1 on your wish list? Am I insane for writing this passionately about lighting? (don’t answer that one)

  1. I really love the first three. I hate that a great light fixture seems to be the biggest part of my budget and always gets left for the end (read: never) of the purchase list. I’m going to start saving my pennies now for a new pretty in my living room!

  2. Absolutely not! :) I love a stunning light fixture (like in room #3) but I think ultimately what I love more is a room where natural light pours in through large, open windows.

  3. #3 is my first pick… I am obsessssed with it! I’m always finding myself searing through overstock.com to see if they have anything fun since lighting can be SO crazy expensive! PS. don’t you wish we could register for it!?!? xo

  4. You are NOT alone, my friend!!!! I have a few that I would die to have, They are more than my rent and will wait til we get a house….hopefully the Hubs will agree to my crazy taste! (I’m sure he will if he knows whats good!)

  5. Lighting was my number one extravagance when I built my home. I posted my most beloved fixture on my blog a few weeks back. It is the Bocci pendant, kind of reminiscent of the first image you posted.

    Your selections are stunning!

  6. That first one in the otherwise traditional kitchen is great looking…but they are all beautiful the one with the candles is really neat too, probably doesn’t give off a lot of light but it sure is pretty!
