Guest Post: Flourish Design & Style (& My Guest Post)

Today we have a guest post from one of my absolute favorite blogs, Flourish Design + Style. Sarah’s site was one of the first design blogs I found and completely fell in love with. Her posts are all so light, airy and drop dead gorgeous. And even better, she just opened her own design business, check it out here! Look at her portfolio… oh my wow. Anywaysss here are her favorites!

I am so thrilled to be here sharing a few of my favorites around my house.. thanks SO much Alex for having me!
My favorite room is the kitchen. I love nothing more than standing at the island with a hot cup of coffee in hand..

Favorite piece of furniture is a fun one. This piece in our entry is my side of the road find. After alot of scrubbing and cleaning it lends an ‘I don’t expect perfection’ vibe to our house! Which with two little kids.. you can’t ( and I don’t! )

Favorite textile? Right now I am in love with our bed, and the layering of a chunky knit blanket and a finer wool swans island blanket. It’s the best place to cuddle up!

Favorite art? That’s a toughie.. we don’t really have any! I hope to change that, but for now, I adore my antlers. I mentioned to my mom way back that I would love a set.. just so happened she knew where to find some. Thanks Dad :)

Favorite Miscellaneous item.. my revamped ikea dresser. I smile every time I see it!

Can you believe her little Ikea dresser makeover? Gorgeous. The brass pulls are absolute perfection. Thank you SO much Sarah for sharing with us today!!
And something MORE, I am over at one of my very favorite blogs today, Recycled Consign & Design. Today I am sharing what I need to get my house ready for spring! I hope you will go over and check out Amanda’s blog and my post!
