Wedding Wednesday + Thank You

Words can’t really express my gratitude for all of your kind words yesterday about my home. In this blog world, you put yourself out there and hope for the best, but you never really know what will come. In this case, what came was the most unbelievable outpouring of support and praise. I really love you all so much, your words are what has given me the confidence to follow my dream, and for that I am forever grateful. Sorry for being so mushy, but its true!
I also want to thank Miss Danielle Moss for her beautiful photography at my home. She made every detail shine!! On another day, when I am a bit more organized, I will go through the pictures and share the sources for everything in my home since I’ve been getting a lot of questions! If you haven’t seen the Glitter Guide feature, you can check it out here.
And now on to some seriously important things…

A lot of people ask me for recommendations regarding wedding websites. I will be perfectly honest, it was something I really struggled with. I didn’t want to pay to have one custom designed, but I also had no desire to use a pre-made, unpersonalized template.
Enter wix.com. You create an account, can buy a URL if you want it, and you can design every square inch just the way you want it without knowing any HTML and best of all, its all free (except the URL). You can literally edit the pages like a Power Point, dragging and dropping just where you want everything.
I know this isn’t the most glamorous Wedding Wednesday, but its such a commonly asked question, I thought it would be worth addressing! I hope this helps. And PS wix is not paying me, although they really should, I used them for my business website too!

  1. Thanks Alex! I have been wondering where to make our website and I really didn’t want to do it on a wedding website or pay to have it custom. LOVED the feature yesterday your home is amazing. xoxo

  2. Is it weird that I love your wedding date?

I also love your house. Duh.

And that website is awesome. I’ll keep it in handy for when I start my sarcasm business :)

  3. Agree on the Wix rec! I built out our site on that and loved that I could use HTML 5 or Flash (for design nerds out there). I also loved that it was so customizable that I could basically ‘brand’ the wedding across all the communications (save the date, invite, etc). I sound like a complete nut job, but the marketing girl in me can’t help it!
