Wedding Wednesday

As I get closer and closer to asking my bridesmaid to be part of our wedding. I keep thinking of ways to make the experience as fun as possible for them. So here are my key ingredients to keep it fun for them, and for the bride:
Ask them in a super cute little way (via). Thanks for the idea Lara!
Ensure a rocking bachelorette party! (via)
Provides LOTS of cocktails! (via)

Give them a special present they can enjoy on the day of! (via)

Make sure to infuse glamor into every inch of their dresses.
What do you think makes the bridesmaid experience the best it can be? Any ideas on how to ask the girls?

And don’t forget to enter the amazing Leigh Viner giveaway, it is open until Friday!

  1. I love the first photo with the sweet stationary. Is that Rifle? Love her designs. All of the above ideas are perfect. I always went into it thinking, I don’t want my bridesmaid to think of it as a chore, but as a thank you. I bought them their bridesmaid dresses, took them to a spa day for mani/pedi before the wedding and gave them a goodie bag of beauty products. They all were out of town, so it was somewhat of a destination, so wanted to be as helpful as possible. it was well received. your bridesmaids are going to be lucky girls as well!

  2. you can give them a picture frame with a note inside the frame, and then they can fill it with a picture of the two of you after the wedding! I was asked that way once and thought it was adorable.

  3. My sister in law and one of my best friends send sweet handwritten notes asking me to in their weddings. I thought that was so personal and special. Love the last pic of the bridesmaid dresses, gorgeous colors!

  4. I love all of these ideas- the invites are adorable and I’d love one of those robes- gorgeous!!! I’m pretty sure your bridesmaids are going to feel very special- how could they not? They’re going to be a part of your special day…that’s amazing all by itself:)

  5. Those robes are ADORABLE…
I was married over five years ago…so the matching sweats and stuff were very “in” style…I got all my girls cute zip up hoodies w bridesmaid across the back and their name embroidered on the front..we all wore them getting ready for the day of..it was fun for pics and stuff…I also took care of all of the hair and makeup- didn’t want them to be constantly shelling out the dough the ENTIRE time…as for a way to ask…I wrote them all a special card and asked at the end…very individual and specific to OUR relationship etc.
Wow, I jsut wrote a novel.

  6. My fave ways that my friends asked me: 1) one friend sent lilly’s to my office with a note asking me 2) one sent a ‘Top 10 Reasons I Want You To Be My Bridesmaid’ like David Letterman and it was cute, sweet and funny.
