Wedding Wednesday

I think it is really important to have personal touches on your wedding day. Things that really make the day yours. There are SO many ways to do this, but these are a couple of my favorites.
A thank you note to all of your guests. Such a sweet, heartfelt leave behind.

You know your friends are going to have aching feet and goosebumps at an outdoor September wedding, so why not make them more comfortable!?

Choose a bridesmaid dress that the girls ACTUALLY love.

Have fun! Make cocktail hour something a little different
Add a monogram to anything and everything!
What are your favorite wedding details that you’ve seen?

  1. I’m in the middle of wedding planning and I am totally with you on the bridesmaid dresses. That said, it is not an easy feat! Thanks for the great ideas. xoxo

  2. I couldn’t agree more! My girls were in Anthro dresses and they loved them (plus they were less than $130 and some girls got them on sale for 50% off!)

I’m doing a “Wedding Week” series on my blog right now where I am recapping the details of our wedding ceremony and reception if you want to take a peek :)

  3. I am totally with you on the dresses they actually love! I am in a wedding next month and our dresses look like a horrible mistake from a 9th grade prom. Lets home they never find there way to facebook!

  4. Great ideas!
Our wedding is outdoors so we’re handing out handmade woven fans for everyone. We’re also making super cute welcome bags filled with goodies from Baltimore (groom’s fam is from there) and Puerto Rico (I’m from there). That way everyone can get a taste of both our backgrounds :)

  5. We went to a wedding where they had tons of games like this during the cocktail hour.. of course you need the right setting (there’s was at a barn) but it was such a relaxing and fun way to spend cocktail hour. Also love the shawls and flip flops. I think we will be doing something similar for our guests.

  6. I love all of these! Special touches definitely make the day/night one to remember for everyone else, and not just the two of you. Great seeing you last night. Let’s get together soon! :)

  7. Love the monogram cookies and the idea of choosing a dress that the girls actually like ! Love the dresses in the picture.

  8. Yeah, the bridesmaids dresses are crazy good. Every bride thinks the dresses she chooses can be worn again, but the bridesmaid is always like, yeah right in her head. But these, these I’d wear for sure.

  9. Great ideas! For my wedding last year, we took old family wedding photos, labeled them and displayed them in the reception foyer so that guests could take a look on the way in. It was also a nice way to honor those we love that are no longer with us.

  10. So cute! I added scented sparkles to my wedding invites, sparkly gems to my bouquet and to the flowers on the centerpieces. It’s all about the personal touches!
