Random Wednesday

You guys. All week I have just been off. I thought Monday was Wednesday. Can you even imagine how disappointing that was? Then yesterday trapped me at home with a little snowstorm. And today, I’m back at it… sharing some random thoughts with you.
Before my vacation I’ve been making an attempt at eating sort of healthy. But then I saw this recipe. Nutella stuffed brown butter sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Could you ever ask for anything more?
I’m also excited to announce that I am taking part in the Home Depot Patio Challenge. With a foot of snow on the ground its hard to imagine spending time outside. But soon enough, the snow will melt and we’ll be able to spend cool spring nights on our deck. I’m hoping it will look a little something like this (although I know it won’t).
I’ve been doing a lot of kitchen research for an upcoming project and this one is really a front runner for me. Although, we decided to go in a different direction in the end, I will always love the black and white contrast in this kitchen by Jennifer Worts Design.
Last night with the snow coming down in Chicago, we cozied up by the fire, ordered some pizza (yeah, maybe I said I was “trying” to eat healthy, ignore that) and watched the Blachawks being AMAZING. The hyacinth on the coffee table were picked up at TJs and smell insane. Almost too strong, but not quite.

  1. A snow day and being able to be home with your guy cuddled up in front of a fire?! How can any girl be feeling off? I’m just kidding, it happens to the best of us – you’ll get your grove back!

  2. I: -love that patio!!! I want mine to be cute this year, I can’t wait for you to share yours I know it will be great!!! – That kitchen is stunning!!!!! – Pizza always a good idea, esp in snow storms! And those will be my next TJ flowers!!! XO-T

  3. I saw those cookies yesterday and had a heart attack. They look so delicious. I still can’t get over those flowers and I hope you’re staying warm!! xo

  4. I absolutely love the smell of hyacinth…I seriously can not get over how cheap they are at TJ! Thanks for sharing the cookie recipe, I’ll have to bake you a batch post vacation!! xx

  5. Your sofa color (black & white), kitchen and other stuff…. everything is looking awesome. When i saw your blog your cookies were telling me that “we are very delicious eat us”. It very difficult to control myself. Over all your whole post is fine. Recently i have also purchased a new house and now i am searching new furniture for kitchen and for bathroom. I am thinking that go to some furniture online stores and compare furniture’s price and get furniture.
