This has nothing to do with design, fashion, food or really anything I normally blog about, but its a Friday…
Remember I mentioned a while back that a good friend of ours was the officiant for our wedding? Well he’s an incredibly talented actor who is part of an incredibly talented comedy group, and recently, he is part of a fantastic couple of commercials.
So let me introduce you to Beck Bennett. If you don’t know him now, you will after seeing these commercials. They are just so good. And the best part? His “character” in the commercials is 100% him. The commercials are actually loosely based on one of his comedy sketches.
There are more, but these are a couple favorites. Oh and he was in the newspaper yesterday.
Have a great weekend! xo
Omg! I love him slash really kind of have a crush on him {I’m serious}.
I’ve seen those and thought they were so cute. seems like a really funny guy…
I love him! Those commercials kill me, they seem so unscripted, that’s when you know someone’s a good actor.
“pain in the bones” has def been used around my house – such a funny commercial, wish him lots of success!
OMG, I love these commercials! I laugh every time. His humor is totally the kind I fall for…he’s very handsome too! How awesome that he officiated at your wedding, must be a great guy to know! http://www.styleoyster.blogspot.com

I love these! I always walk around talking about how I need to tape a cheetah to my back!
I want to be friends with him. Seriously though.
I usually hate commercials but I love these! We laugh everytime they come on. It’s so funny the way he interacts with the kids. It’s cool that you know him and he did your wedding!

I love those commercials! That is so awesome – it’s always fun to see friends on TV. In college, I was a ballet dancer and studied with all the other performing arts kids and every now and then I’ll see a friend from the acting school in a commerical or something. But this is a great character and how cool that he did your wedding!
“Tape a cheetah to her back” is one of the greatest lines ever. I die everytime that one comes on! So cool that he officiated your wedding.
What?! That is so awesome! He is hysterical. Hands down my favorite commercials. Also loved all the ones he did last year for the NCAA Tourney!
my boyfriend loves those commercials. they are the only ones he doesnt fast forward through.
I teach kindergarten and these commercials CRACK me up because his conversations with the kids sound exactly like my daily reading groups and he says all the things I wish I could ask/say! haha
My god, I looooooove these commercials! Hooray for your friend!
I love those commercials! So funny! WHat a fun friend to have!
WAIT….that’s him????????????? Hahahaha! Those commercials are hilarious!!! HE is hilarious. That is awesome!!!!!!!!! xo
Awesome, I’ve totally seen his first commercial.
Wow, I love those commercials of his! I stop what I’m doing to watch them when they come on. The things that the kids say in them are the best! Thanks for sharing your story of Beck with us!

The boyfriend and I LOVE those commercials! “I bet she would like it if she was fast.” Hahahahaha. They are great!
I LOVE these commercials!
Just happened across this (random parent Google of son in semi-famous ad…) My son Zach is the “cheetah kid” (gray sweater) in the Grandma ad. Beck was very good with all the kids — very patient, funny, etc. They were indeed unscripted, except for the initial question (fast/slow, et al.) He’s a good actor for sure, he’ll be a great Dad or would make a great teacher if he chose to do that too. Happy for him that he’s breaking out.
Best, Troy Hinrichs
