this month’s elle decor had a couple amazing treats. first, it featured this house which i still believe is pretty much the perfect little getaway. and then it introduced me to this room…
to me, this room is perfect. it is everything i want my living room to be. let me break it down for you.
the art- damien hirst and massimo vitale in the same room. it doesnt get any better
the colors- different shades of medium grey and pops of color
the furniture- that tufted sofa, those ikat chairs and the platner chair. yes please, ill take them all.

I’m such a sucker for tufted furniture. When outfitting my own home I had to remind myself that not everything needed to be.
It is pretty darn near perfect- I love those long grey curtain panels- they’re restrained but add so much elegance to the room. I love the Platner chair, of course and can’t say no to anything tufted. I would kill for a Vitale photography- love love! Oh and the ikat chairs/geometric rug…yes love those too. Oh one more…love the green graphic plant stems as well- I’m always wanting those but can never find them.
this space made me happy too. I would never think to pair that rug with that chair in that pattern… but it all works so well.
and I second christine… where does one find huge plant stems? I never see them anywhere.
