no silly goose, those are french macaroons (“macarons,” i think), whereas the more globby, (although equally, if not more, delicious) ones are coconut macaroons that we jew-folk are more familiar with. sorry, that was my momentary nerdy fat kid relapse. i’ll go back to not knowing about different types of cookies
