Although I’ve always been drawn to all different varieties of design, lately I have found myself drawn to more traditional rooms, specifically in all different shades of blue.
Blue has never been a color I have liked. I love it in other peoples’ homes but for some reason I never gravitate to it on my own. But now… after seeing these spaces, I have completely changed my mind. I love how a light, dusty blue can be so soft and sweet but a bright royal blue lacquer can be so bold.

What do you think? Have you always been a blue fan? If not, are you a convert now?
I have been so drawn to blue lately! It just seems so fresh and timeless. I’ve never used blue much at home, but I kind of want to start over and use it everywhere, mixing all different shades. My first blue purchase would be an oversized tufted ottoman in a really rich navy velvet. A total statement piece!
We bought a new/old house in October and I have picked Naval by Sherwin Williams to paint our master bedroom in. It is a very dark navy. I have always been drawn to blue in clothing and interior design.
I love that blue is sort of having a moment for 2014. I painted my living room a dustyish provencal blue as a tribute to by grandmother and I love it. Blue can be so calming in a way, and make such a statement too!
I’ve been using a ton of navy in my house lately. I can’t get enough of it!
I agree I don’t decorate with blue but it has been growing on me. My mothers home is all navy and white and it is beautiful!
ummm blue + traditional is my favorite!!! yay! my mom had a sideboard just like that one in the top pic too!
i’ve felt the same way lately. i also noticed how much blue i have in my wardrobe!
I am the biggest fan and I love all shades from robin’s egg blue to navy. Love the office…gorgeous!!
How funny. One of my first go-tos was always blue. Like a light grayish blue. And recently I’m into really simple clean and casual interiors. Maybe next year I’ll be into traditional spaces.
