1. I am going to start off with the most embarrassing one first… Watching hillybilly man shows with Spencer. Never in a million years did I think I would enjoy this crap. But I think I’ve been overexposed, because now “Deadliest Catch”, “Gold Rush”and “Swamp Loggers” are shows I genuinely enjoy (most of the time).
2. A big heaping bowl of pasta with parm and olive oil might be my favorite thing in the world.
3. Forcing my dog to cuddle with me, even though I am not sure he ever likes it.
4. Waking up early, and then laying in bed for hours.
5. Making an unhealthy breakfast an excuse to eat badly all day.
6. Not making my bed nearly as often as I should
7. Air conditioning all four seasons. I keep a very very chilly house. Blankets are a necessity in every room. A little wasteful? Yes. Perfect for sleeping? YES.
8. Eating pizza way too often… now it is ordered cheese-less. #depressed (yes, I used a hashtag like a normal conversational thing)
9. Shopping a lot more often than I should. Or really anyone should.
10. Loving summer but hoping for fall.
11. Dreaming about the next house that I will live in… after only two years in my current condo.
12. Watching movies in my own house, I despise the movie theater. And even then, I only watch movies that make me happy. I am emotional enough without movies that break my heart or scare the crap out of me.
13. Going out for dinner. There are sooo many amazing places in Chicago and I have so many favorites!
14. Having a cleaning lady twice a month, it is the ultimate luxury for me! Worth every penny.
15. Connected with #12, watching Elf and Love Actually as many times as humanly possible
16. And now connected to the above… loving Christmas-time more than any other thing EVER, but… still being Jewish.
17. Desperately wanting another dog even though I know we don’t really have the space for it.
18. Texting an abnormal amount. It just soooo much better than talking on the phone.
19. Lighting a fire the second there is even a hint of chill in the air.
20. Making myself a priority. This might be a controversial one. But I think its the most important. You can only take care of other people once you’ve taken care of yourself. Its definitely hard not to feel guilty for it though.
Ha- #2,#9,#18 are definitely mine!!! Want your pup!
i love this list! we have pizza once a week…and i cant even say how many times ive watched love actually. i am currently also obsessed with food network reality/competition shows (chopped, the great american food truck race, restaurant impossible). o and #hashtagsarewhereitsat
Love this! I can totally relate to eating a bad breakfast, and then pigging out all day. Love Actually and Elf are the best. I chose Deadliest Catch over Sex and the City the other night #wtf. Carbs are my first love.
Such a fun post!!
These are all great. Shopping too much is DEFINITELY one of mine!

I’m so with you on about 95% of this! Except for the dog thing…
Great list. Could not agree more especially about the shopping too much, I have a problem or so my hubby says!
Ahh #1 made me laugh out loud! I haven’t seen Swamp Loggers yet, but my brother definitely got me hooked on Swamp People…it’s just way too fascinating. Glad I’m not the only one with this random TV habit
Such a fun post and list! Completely agree- cleaning ladies are worth EVERY PENNY. I may have to get a rec from you since mine stayed in Dallas and I’m the new cleaning lady around here…boo. Have you already posted a list somewhere of your favorite Chicago restaurants? I always feel so overwhelmed when choosing a restaurant here.
Love the post and I can totally relate to 5,9 and 10!

Love this! As I was reading other comments, I’m with {sixtwelveplace} – always overwhelmed when it comes to choosing a restaurant. I look to the other Chicago bloggers for suggestions since I’m new to the city!
Love the list! I could eat pizza everyday and Love Actually just puts me in the Christmas spirit! LOVE! Trying to convince the husband that we need a cleaning lady – I really think it would be a good investment!
Amazing! I share a lot of the same guilty pleasures as you: Pizza, pasta, Love Actually, Loving summer but hoping for fall!
I love love this…funnily enough I watch some of those shows too…I’ve been watching this weird guy who fishes for crazy sea monster like things with hubby and I’m oddly intrigued by it- bizarre…anyhoo…also yes to the cold house, pizza, pasta, bad breakie, shopping, waking up early;)My guilty pleasures…changing the things in my house almost constantly and wine;)
great list! i think i might have to copy the idea
and i totally agree with you on #20.

LOVED this list! I found myself nodding my head the entire time. I’m right there with you on #s
xoxo
1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 18 & 20!!! See, told you I was nodding my head a lot
Love your list.
If my place was a teensy bit bigger I would totally invest in a cleaning lady..but at this time it is just too small not to do it myself. #sigh (love the hashtag usage)
lovvve this list:) so many of my guilty pleasures too. such a great idea…i have to fess up to laying in bed, eating too much pizza and wishing for fall too. xoxo
I love this list. I eat pizza once a week, every week. Its awful. I also shop and eat out WAY too often. But you only live once, right!?
Donuts. My fav. And eating out in general. Can’t help myself.
xo
Amen to #12, and I totally agree with #15 and #16! Your pup is so cute!!
xo
naomi
Yay!! I’m so glad you did this too!! I’m all about #15 too. And as for #20, NEVER feel guilty about that one. Ever ever ever.
This is such a great idea, I might need to do it myself!! Loved your list, i share so many similarities, especially with #4,9,11,12,13,14,15,18, 20! wow almost the whole list! lol
x
So cute! I’m on board with almost all of them, except movie theaters – I love going to the movies, but maybe because it’s a luxury I don’t get to take advantage nearly enough anymore. That and my family always went to movies.
You just reminded me to find a good cleaning lady! I truly hate the movie theater and I eat pizza way too much! It’s a seriously addiction.
Love this, I should add #3 and #13 to my list. I saw Vmac + Cheese’s list and was so inspired I posted my Guilty Pleasures too {http://rnlmusings.blogspot.com/2011/09/guilty-pleasures.html} !
I hear you on #12! My husband makes fun of me because I refuse to watch movies that look scary or too sad and I don’t want to give up my good mood.
And you totally need another dog to engage in forced cuddling.
yes- this is awesome! i kinda, maybe want to copy you…
my guilt pleasures may or may not include celebrity gossip/stalking, working towards a life long goal of “12 up/12 down” for my sleep schedule, and never, ever, ever working out… but walking everywhere.
LOVE this post. Reminds me of Glamour’s “It’s OK if…” I also eat way too much pizza and watch Love Actually constantly year-round
i totally started compiling a list after victoria’s post! love this – especially jealous of the cleaning lady twice a month. once a month would even do just fine. quarterly even!? i might be giving in to this now….
Your scaring me…we are guilty pleasure twins!!! From the ac, the shopping, your movie preferences to not wanting to go to the actual movies…freaky!
and…I’m Jewish, but now due to marriage I celebrate X-mas..I’ll say this, be careful what you wish for, cause three kids later, its SO MUCH WORK! Chanukah was a cake walk compared to this holiday!:)
xx
dear lord your guilty pleasures make my guilty pleasures sound like murder sins. i love elf.
Just found your blog. Love this list. Might have to do one myself. And yes, I love waking up early and staying in bed for hours too!
I thought I was the only person in the world who watched Swamp Loggers! haha you HAVE to try Swamp People (the same, but different) AND if you haven’t yet, “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” is kind of amazing.
Um, stumbled upon your blog and love this. All of it. I may or may not be doing my own guilty pleasures post. And yes, pasta, parm and olive oil is something beautiful.
