So…When we moved in I politely asked (required) the boyfriend to use the guest closet so I could have this guy all to myself. And thank goodness I did, because I use ever single square inch of it.
I didn’t style it or organize it. I wanted you to see what its really like. What I did do was hang my chandelier, put in a new rug and pick up my laundry off the floor! I even left that bottom drawer a little open… oops!
So now that you have the background… here it is:
(Click images to see them bigger)
So you see? Its nothing so crazy fancy. No island. No full, head on shots. But I love it.
Here are the details:
* I used all of these hangers and I will NEVER go back (be careful, the black looks pretty but it sheds, so I went with Ivory)
* My chandelier was a vintage find and I am obsessed
* The rug is from CSN and it was the perfect touch. Having something soft under my feet makes a world of difference in the morning
*My jewelry is stored in a jewelry box that was the very first present I ever got from my boyfriend, 8 years ago! I still love it just as much
*My little teacups belonged to my grandmother.
*The necklace branch holder thing is from Urban.
Hope you enjoyed and that I didn’t build it up too much! It was definitely good motivation for me to get those finishing touches completed.
I think it looks great! I love that you used your grandmother’s teacups, how special. I also love the chandy! I made my husband take the guest room closet too, so I could have the big one. and if truth be known I also occupy a whole other closet in the hall:)
Yay! Love to see this. I love your jewelry area!! And the chandelier too… It’s gorgeous. You’re right, clearly you’ve used the space top to bottom, quite efficiently I might add!

Wow it looks amazing! I’m so impressed! I did a little spring cleaning last week and did my linen closet. Hit up The Container Store and went to town. Next up is my clothes closet and I’ve heard a lot about those huggable hangers. Thanks for the tip about getting ivory ones

So pretty! I especially love the rug!
oh, i would love to have a closet that size! here at school, i actually have lots of closet space. my closet at home, however, is pretty small so i end up storing dresses in our laundry room..my mom gets quite frustrated because what used to be a huge wall with room for hanging dry clothes continually gets smaller and smaller!
Looking good! I’m in the market for all new hangers and I’ve been debating. Thanks for the rec.
Love the awesome jewelry display! Great space!
I have serious closet envy right now – it all looks so gorgeous and well organised! Love the chanderlier! xo

You’ve inspired me to complete my closet now ~ very similar layout, and I also use my grandma’s tea cups (which were a wedding present from her mother) as my little jewelry organizers. And I have that same jewelry tree ~ haha, great minds think alike maybe?
Very nice, Alex. I’m pretty sure I’d be quite happy living in your closet. And that chandelier is just amazeballs. And I love a good rug in an unexpected spot like a closet
