Book Share

While on vacation last week I read three books and absolutely loved all of them. I am always looking for new books to read so I thought I would share
This was my favorite of the three. It is written by Jacqueline Kennedy’s secret serviceman during the Kennedy administration. The intimate look into their private life was wonderful. I loved every page.

This book was written by the founders of Gilt. It was so much fun learning about how they found inspiration to start their wildly successful company and see their process during the beginning. Its quick, but really interesting read.

So this is a weird one. I love boy books (Nelson Demille is my favorite author of all time). I like action, history, spies. Iam Flemming, who wrote the James Bond books, had some unpublished writings, and this author took those writings and wrote this. A current day James Bond novel and I loved it.

Have you read any books recently that you loved? Please share!

  1. I read “Where’d You Go Bernadette” recently and it was excellent. Also, anything by Jhumpa Lahiri is amazing and I finally read “Wicked” (about ten years late)–it’s really engrossing.

  2. I’m so glad you shared this review, especially on Mrs. Kennedy and Me.
I have picked that up so many times while at the bookstore but have never made the purchase. Will have to go back for it!

  3. I LOVE Nelson Demille, too! Jeffery Deaver is one of my favs, I have not read this one yet. Would you highly suggest it? Do tell. Looking to read something new within the next week or so, if time permits. I am almost done with The Girl Who Played with Fire. Next up is Jo Nesbo’s The Snowman, which should be a quick read.

  4. Oh I’m glad to hear that Mrs. Kennedy and Me is good. I’ve been wanting to read that too as I’m so fascinated by her. I received the historic interviews and book that were released that she did in the 60′s, and I love hearing her talk about their lives. It’s called “Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations on Life with John F. Kennedy.”

  5. I just finished Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg and I found it really inspiring. I really recommend it. Next up on my list is a book from Zelda Fitzgerald’s point of view. It’s coming out April 1st and supposed to be really good.
