Stuff/Bloggers - It's true, no? But couldn't it also be that birds of a feather....The links you have are all gals at about your age and place in time. Most, if not all, claim to be designers so it's natural you'd all have the same things.

As I told one blogger lamenting that she sees "her" artwork (those trite carry on things)everywhere, save your money and buy originals. That is the only surefire way to not see yourself coming and going.

Are you doing all of those events for the same bride?

haha! This is exactly why I DON’T show my house progress….because I have almost none of the blogger “essentials.” How weird am I for being afraid to be so different from the norm? So, naturally, I like where you’re going with this. And you’ve maybe just inspired me to actually reveal my home. Thanks

On the flip side, many of those things became popular because they truly are gorgeous. So it’s justified.

Too funny! Never give up Diptique candles though, they smell way too good! Antlers on the other hand, I’m personally not a fan. The last photo of the bookshelf is fabulous, very moody. Yels x

I don’t have any of those things, and I thought I was so uncool! But after seeing all of it everywhere I started to think it was ok that I didnt. I do have an orchid in a silver pot like in image #2. I like things that make my home unique.

This is so true Alex. I looked at my coffee table with my Tom Ford book, sea urchin, candle and agate coasters and had to laugh. Although I have loved candles and coffee table books for years they are my jam. Love the greenery!

I’ll be honest, I surprisingly don’t have much of the ‘blogger’ stuff. I think I’m too scared to venture out of my neutral zone. That and I’m just afraid I will get too tired of it! My latest purchase were some wonderful animal watercolors that look fab in a gold gilded frame!

I love this post and have thought the same thing myself. I do have antlers on my wall and in my defense I’d like to say that I’ve had them for over 10 years – not exactly a trend. I am close to being over the chevron prints , and I think the cover of the domino book is still so pretty!

Guilty. However, I think this could be attributed to the fact that Many bloggers have a similar sense of style, and someone who follows your blog is most likely to follow another blogger with a similar style as yours. Know what I mean? On the other hand, I feel the same way certain times – especially during the holiday season when the gift guides come out. My end goal is to stay true to myself, and not worry what anyone else thinks of my space because I am the one living in it. xo
