When starting your own company there are certain decisions that you make that forever change the course of your business. One of those decisions for AKD was moving into a little office with Liz. 

For the first 6 months I worked from my dining room table. It was a right of passage for me, but I can’t say I was working at my full capacity. There were so many distractions at home and the chaos of fabric memos covering every surface in my house was frustrating.

Everyday that I walk into our little (and I mean little) office I feel so grateful for having found an office mate who values this space as much as I do. Grateful for being able to grow my company in a place dedicated to that company. Grateful for every pretty little corner.

I got a blanket from Mela & Roam for a friend a while ago. With a cute little monogram it was such a great gift.

But now I am looking for something new… 

As an interior designer, I love the idea of giving these ballet illustrations and contributing to the design of the little one’s room

But a design conscious mom might not want someone else’s stuff in their perfectly designed nursery!
