We had such a fun weekend, but I am totally dead. Between an engagement party, friends in from out of town, a wedding, a BBQ at our place, an intense Blackhawks game and some time in suburbia… I am spent. This old lady can’t keep up (actually… I’m not sure I ever could, let’s be honest)

Anyways, with about a month to go in our renovation we are making some serious design decisions and it hasn’t been easy. I think I mentioned, we spent multiple hours looking at kitchen pendants and never found anything that Spencer liked. How is that possible?

Although I love Pinterest, sometimes I find myself looking for new inspiration, things I haven’t seen anywhere else. Lately, I’ve been looking through my contractor’s portfolio. So I figured I’d give you a peek today.

I am definitely hyper focused on kitchens right now but all of their spaces are beautiful. Don’t you love how light and bright everything feels?

Today is the 10 year anniversary of my first date with my husband (and the two year anniversary of us getting engaged).

Summer of 2004

 If you told me when I was 17 years old that this guy would be my husband I would’ve laughed in your face. But every single day since I met him, I knew how incredibly special of a person he was and is. I could go on forever about how lucky I feel, but I’ll save you the mush. So happy 10 bug. Thanks for calming my crazy.
