in case you haven’t noticed im in vacation mode. its weird how that happens in the summer months. summer is the best time to stay put in chicago, yet im always traveling around. hmmm… well if im going to leave, nantucket is one of those places im more than happy to go to. my favorite things there are harbors at sunset, hydrangeas and lighthouses. other than my insanely frizzy fro on this island, there is nothing i love more.

i have stayed at hotel de russie a couple of times, and i have to say, its one of the most special places ive ever been. not only are the rooms absolutely beautiful, the hotel has something no other city hotel has. in the back of the hotel, are the most unbelievable gardens. right in the middle of rome. can you imagine? you are feet away from the spanish steps, you overlook the piazza del popolo, what more could you ask for? this place is my heaven.
