So let’s get right down to it… I’m not going to promise to never post about weddings here on TTS, because here’s the thing, I’m one of those super scary crazy wedding people. One of those “I’ve been saving pretty pictures and pretending they aren’t for MY wedding” people. So once this planning really kicks into gear, you can plan on seeing the details unfold here. I hope you don’t mind. Maybe I’ll do a Wedding Wednesday like The Now Girls… But maybe Wednesday will come a couple times a week. We’ll see.

Some details…I found out that the engagement was actually planned for last night but the ring was ready early and my Spence just couldn’t wait the 24 hours (love that!). He had a whole plan for last night, most of which he could cancel. Except for the 5 bouquets of flowers that arrived last night from my favorite florist.

I love it! The bright colors are amazing

Other than the fact that we know we’re getting married September 2012, there are no other details that we’ve thought about. You know, other than me having already picked out the bridesmaid dresses (6 months ago), the cake (2 years ago) and the style of my dress (when I was 6 years old).

Ok, everything is in the open. Let the judging begin

Last night, I got engaged!!!!!!!!! I am still sort of speechless. We’ve been together since I was 17 years old. I have spent 1/3 of my life knowing I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. But now, its real. Totally and completely real and I couldn’t be more happy. giddy. excited. He is my best friend in the entire world.

I won’t go into the details but it included our 8 year anniversary and a ring that prematurely dropped out of his pocket. Perfect. Couldn’t have been more perfect.

And now its Wednesday morning, Spence went to work and I’m expected to get up and go to class like nothing happened. I’m not sure I can do it! Wish me luck! I’m going to be distracted by something way to pretty to pay attention to anything today.
