Wedding Wednesday

Wedding makeup was one of the biggest challenges for me. My daily makeup routine includes bronzer, blush, eyeliner, mascara and chapstick. Not only is there nothing more included, I don’t even own anything more. So the thought of having my makeup done for my wedding has been very intimidating. I had a trial that I wasn’t happy with at all. I said I wanted to look natural, turns out natural means different things to different people. So next up I went to Carley Martin (per my friend Ashely‘s recommendation) and am so happy I did.
My inspiration was this picture (minus a little blush)

I like how dewy and fresh she looks. Perfectly natural. And that is exactly what I got from Carley! Even her portfolio showcases girls who have this exact look

What is your opinion on bridal makeup? Go bold? Or be natural? I definitely think its a personal decision.

Obsessions PINK Edition + Guest Post

Today I am over at Julia’s blog, The Urban Slant, participating in a brand new series. The series is about people who left their job in corporate America to pursue their dream job. There are so many incredibly talented people out there in the blog world who have taken this bold step, this new series looks into their decision and I am honored to be a part of it!
Now on to equally as important things. Obsessions. Pink Edition

I asked Spencer if I could have this nugget for Valentine’s Day. He said no. So I asked if I could have her for March… Day. He said no again. Any other ideas? I need HER. I would name her Tallulah and call her Tully. All the hard work is basically done.

If these shoes didn’t have a weird, creepy curved heel I would buy them for my wedding in a second. They are the perfect color of pink. Too bad, too bad.
So looking forward to another girl’s Valentine’s party. This time a brunch. I am already brainstorming decorations for this year. This pic is from last years soiree

This pink bag would be so perfect with any outfit. I have been lusting after it for way too long to now own it already. Silly budget.
I call this room, “Ryan Korban does minimalism”. I sort of love it. I would add a bunch of stuff though, so it was really not minimalistic at all. But I still love it.
