For some reason we thought holiday shopping on Michigan Ave on a Saturday was a good idea. It wasn’t. I’m not a good “crowd” person.

Went to Spencer’s work holiday party, so much fun!

Was over at Spencer’s grandpa’s house and there was Obama’s holiday card, just hanging out on the coffee table. Doesn’t Bo look so handsome?

Celebrated the first two nights of Hanukkah (the first with Spencer and the second with my dad and brothers)

And got the most exciting Hanukkah present! Let the manual reading begin.

As a wedding gift we got a king sized bed, hallelujah! With this, also meant we couldn’t use our bedding or headboard anymore. So I took this as an opportunity to really take a risk and decorate our bedroom the way I had always wanted to. You might remember I had a bit of decorating ADD in here. Remember this post? Well now I am finally satisfied. I had custom drapery made, a spectacular headboard, got some gorgeous monograms for a wedding present and love the way it all turned out.

Want to hear the best part? The night the headboard arrived, I was preparing to have my husband move out (pink headboard = angry man) but instead, he crawled into bed and said “I actually think I like it”. Soulmates? Yes, I think so.
