Lets Talk Kitchens

I am in the very beginning stages of a kitchen project right now and want to get some advice.
The style of the kitchen is one longgggg wall of cabinets with a massive island. Also of note, there are almost 12′ ceilings. Things we know for sure: The cabinetry is going to be white, we are going to build a soffet so that we dont have cabinets all the way up, and the sink will be in the center of the island.
So here is the problem I’m having… its a big wall of heavy, white cabinets. Real big. The range will be centered on the wall of cabinets, but do we need something else to break up the space? Say like, glass fronted cabinets on either side of the range? I love the look, but functionally… I am just not sure it makes sense. Doesn’t grease and food and gunk constantly spray on the glass fronts?
So dear readers. Do you have glass fronted cabinets on either side of your range? Does it bug you? I hope not, because I love the look. SHARE!

Weekend Recap

This weekend was lots of fun and super relaxing. Just what I needed.

A peek at a little jewelry trunk show Liz and I hosted at Dana Rebecca last week. So much fun!

The weather was beautiful (too bad today is disgusting) and we spent it outside with the pup as much as possible. And yes, as my friends have so nicely pointed out, I need to color my asap. The grey is EVERYWHERE.

My new shoes from Zara. How insane? It was the only pair they had in the store and they fit perfectly (I suggest going down a full size)
Our Easter dessert feast from my favorite bakery, Sweet Mandy B’s
Is it really April 1 and 30 degrees? Spring… you’re a jerk.
