so every once in a while you come across a house that makes you want to throw away everything you own and start over. for me, this is the house. its so perfectly eclectic. so bright. so colorful. SO well edited. i love it all.

it belongs to Christine from Bijou and Boheme, you must take a look at the rest of the first floor tour. its beyond gorgeous. and my favorite part is the art above the fireplace (the entire room was designed around it). yum.

this is kim kardashian’s new house, that if you watch the show you have probably already seen. its actually pretty. nice architectural details. only problem… these pictures are supposedly from the listing of the house, but its decorated EXACTLY the same as when she lives there. right down to the bedding.

i love neutrals. my favorites are usually neutral bedrooms because they are so calm and relaxing, but i happen to love all of these neutral spaces. i think what makes a neutral space perfection is an unexpected pop of chrome, fur, tile or anything else with a strong texture.

some people are anti white/cream/beige, they want color and contrast. while others can only live with a calming, neutral palate. which are you? i am both. my bedroom is neutral, whereas everywhere else has more contrast.

theres something airy and luxurious in these rooms. even though they are all so different, they have some similar quality that i cant quite put my finger on. but i love it.

to bring my impromtu color week to a close, i am showing some rooms that get me in the mood for fall. neutrals. these palates, plus some furry throws and dark accents are amazingly inviting. right up my alley. id move in today.

this morning, its raining and dreary and not only do i not want to get out of bed, i have to get out of bed to pack. ewww! the bright side- i am packing for an amazing labor day getaway to one of my favorite places on earth, lake muskoka (outside of toronto). CANNOT WAIT TO BE THERE! ill be pack to posting on tuesday. have a great long, warm, summery weekend. xo

i love the dark wood cabinets, quartzite counter tops, and glass back splash that my condo came with but… there is NOTHING like a white kitchen. the house i grew up in had the most beautiful, classic white kitchen. and these ones shown here are close to perfection.
