Yay Thursday

Well I am officially done with design school. I don’t even know what to say. So much has happened in the past 15 months since I started. All I can say is that I am so beyond excited for what lies ahead and that is hugely due to all of your amazing support. So thank you for that, I am appreciative more than I could ever express.

And now… I hope to have LOTS of exciting announcements in the coming months. Stayed tuned. Thank you for coming back day after day.
In the mean time, I am going to look at wedding dresses today, and for me, it’s pure heaven. I want to go every single day. Forever. Its the best kind of dress up.

Wedding Wednesday

Last week, I got the idea from Ashley Nicole Catherine to start sharing little bits and pieces of wedding details as they were decided!
So today I am staring off by sharing with you…

We’ve said from day one how we wanted to get married in a tent. Turns out in the city of Chicago there aren’t that many spaces that have room for a 400 person tent, as well as an area for a 400 person ceremony outside. I started to think this tent thing would either have to be moved to the burbs, or not happen at all. Then one afternoon my fiance suggested Northerly Island.

Background:
Northerly Island used to be an old private airport in downtown Chicago. A couple of years ago, it was shut down and the entire runway was made into one big beautiful grassy prairie. The penninsula (not actually an island) is right on Lake Michigan with big sweeping views of the city skyline. Done and done. We walked on to the property and I think we both knew immediately. It was perfect. There is not one thing I would change.

So here it is… Northerly Island!
