A friend of mine is moving from laid back Austin, TX to NYC this summer. She is looking for outfits to get her through a day of work, into the night. So I figured I’d share my suggestions here.

Light weight jackets, fun silky dresses, statement jewelry and nude shoes are my consistent go-tos in the summer. The combo works for just about anything. 

Look One: White jacket (I tried this on last week, its perfect and would go with everything::: Green floral dress ::: Nude sandals ::: Tassel necklace ::: Black tote

Look Two: Denim blazer (The RM Becky jacket is a go-to for anyone, the shape is just right) :::  Kaleidoscope dress ::: Pink studs ::: Tan tote

Look Three: Tweed jacket ::: Blue silk dress ::: Earrings ::: Tan and silver pumps (Jcrew Etta pumps are a perfect work staple) 

This weekend we were in Geneva, NY for my little sister’s college graduation. I had so much fun with my family (everyone was all together for the first time since my wedding).

We ended the weekend with a beautiful dinner on the golf course. So nice to come home to perfect weather in Chicago.
