Fashion in Interiors

As someone who has loved fashion for as long as I’ve loved interior design its often hard to balance the two. Interiors are my true love and my priority (for my bank account) but I will never get over my love for clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry.
My very talented, very fashion focused friend, Morgan, recently introduced me to the idea of fashion as decor. I’ve definitely seen this before, but she was the one who named it for me.

The first time I saw this was in Adrienne Malouf’s closet where she has her wedding gown framed.
And now I see it everywhere
But you want to know who does it best? The Coveteur.

Do you integrate fashion into your decor?

Decorating Green Light

As I am writing this, the hardware is finally getting installed in our kitchen. As much fun as those “blue tape pulls’ have been, I am so ready to say goodbye. Then in a little bit we are having our windows measured for window treatments. I am so excited to finally make some progress. The past month we were at a bit of a standstill but now we’re ready to go.
The current state of our dining area (sorry for the AWFUL picture)
Yeah. Embarassing. We’ve been in for a month. There is no excuse for that kind of disaster.
So now we’re getting serious.
In our old place, I kept things neutral, layered and classic. In this place, my new plan is to funk it up a little bit. Spencer, are you reading this and crying? He hates “funky” but luckily, I have the green light to do my thing. And trust me, this funky is nothing compared to what it could be! Funky for me just means some color and untraditional pattern. This is a little bit of my inspiration

It might seem all over the place but in my head this scheme all makes a lot of sense.
You’ll see!
