I am not going to do a Golden Globes fashion recap, because its been done, and its been done well (sketch42, born and bread, the now).

But seriously, the fact that two really hideous pillows so perfectly encapsulate Natalie Portman’s dress, well, it actually upsets me. And also, the pink pillow is not nearly as horrific of a fabric as her actual dress. Not even close.

I love shopbop just as much as any other girl, but some of the things they post make me laugh out loud. So a couple months ago I left a link to one particularly hideous item on my friend’s Facebook wall suggesting that she buy that item (obviously kidding). She replied with a link to another awful piece on my wall. This little war has continued over the past couple months. Whenever we are bored, or see something horrible on ShopBop, we leave it for eachother. Apparently, we are entertaining way more people than just ourselves because when I mentioned to some people last night that I was going to do a post on “ShopBop Wars” they knew exactly what I was talking about. So here it is, a little taste of the battle:








This stuff is just ridiculous. And the price tags on some of it are an absolute joke. Those bell bottoms were $1400, before they sold out (SOLD OUT).

The best part… every once in a while there will be an item that we post and one of our friends will actually like it. Apparently the ShopBop buyers know what they are doing, because someone out there likes this stuff.

bunny purses. in leather ($435) and velvet ($405). this is real. people buy these. maybe. i hope not. but if you actually want to consider it… go here

every time i go to the gym there is a lady in her 40s working out in front of me in the most absurd outfits. while perusing Singer 22 i came across one of her outfits. i am not kidding. she wears this leotard/bathing suit thing with matching leggings. at least its good motivation for me…

Shop Bop is scaring me lately. i’m one of those crazy followers who checks it every morning for updates. but this little outfit, might just be my favorite. HIGH HEELED chuck taylors. FLORAL jean shorts. and a tank top that says “cut it out” with KNIFE. horrifying. why do they do this?!

for zgallerie to carry something so ugly. it just shouldnt happen. the built in nightstands. the brown leather. the circle. the EVERYTHING. make it go away.
