I’ll admit it… don’t throw things at me… I initially wanted the wainscoting in my apartment removed… the developer was horrified. It just felt out of place in a new construction, city condo. They convinced me to keep it. Some days I love it. Others not so much. But it definitely adds character and thats something I definitely dont mind.

Do you have any amazing detailing in your home??

Oh and also… based on your AMAZING reaction to my vote post yesterday, I’m thinking I should do those everyday! Just kidddding, but seriously wow. And just so you all know… I think I’m going with A, but want to buy B for my bedroom. Someone want to finance my lighting addiction?

Is there anything more perfect than cream or white paired with grey? And even better when there are pops of geometric patterns, black and colorful flowers.

This is exactly where my living room takes inspiration from. One day I will get my walls repainted and my couches reupholstered, and you’ll see. Sound far away? Hopefully not. Making baby steps everyday.




So with this… does anyone have recommendations for a nice, middle value grey? Here is the thing… can’t have too much red (goes totally purple in my space), but don’t want too much blue either (too cold for me). The best I’ve found so far is Anonymous by Behr at 25%. Any other ideas?

Have you ever seen four more glamorous, more different spaces? I love love love my bathroom. But it would be even more perfect if I could have an incredible light fixture and some gorgeous sheers like miss richardson.

this weekend in new york, i went to a cute little home decor store called haus interior. i remember seeing their gorgeous floors around the different blogs, and fell even more in love with them in person. the wear and tear of traffic has made them a little rustic, and even more amazing.

then last night, i came across these. very similar (if not identical) patterns.


turns out, i love this pattern anywhere, on anything. and still think if you painted it on the walls on your powder room, the flame stitch pattern, would be ahhhmazing. someone do it. and send me pictures. a nice DIY alternative to wallpaper

i love neutrals. my favorites are usually neutral bedrooms because they are so calm and relaxing, but i happen to love all of these neutral spaces. i think what makes a neutral space perfection is an unexpected pop of chrome, fur, tile or anything else with a strong texture.

some people are anti white/cream/beige, they want color and contrast. while others can only live with a calming, neutral palate. which are you? i am both. my bedroom is neutral, whereas everywhere else has more contrast.
