I love when a designer’s portfolio has a consistent component. I was recently perusing Jed Johnson’s portfolio and noticed that almost every single one of their projects included a wood paneled library. I love how the same type of room can be done so many different ways.
Which library is your style? Traditional, soft and light like the one on the top right? Or dark, modern and masculine like the one on the bottom left?

A little secret, two of these rooms are ones I’ve actually been in, and let me tell you, they are stunning in person!

Hello everyone!  It’s Elizabeth and Annie from THE NOW.  We’re thrilled to be guest blogging on TTS today… after all, Alex is one of our blogging besties! 
Today we’re taking you on a little tour of our dream home.  Well, make that our dream NOW Getaway.  Every blogging duo needs one, right?  After all, we both live in Dallas with our guys (E with her hubby, and A with her hubby-to-be), but wouldn’t it be nice to have that perfect, girly getaway to jet off to every once in awhile?  Our dream home is located in Manhattan, and there’s plenty of room for the two of us to have master suites of our own.  Plus, we threw in a darling bunk room for our little nieces and nephews.  Oh, and for any of you who want to come visit us!

 I love when rooms have a little bit of moody glamor to them.

 What I love is that moody doesn’t have to mean dark.
And a moody glam nursery?? Insane! And yeah I think I just coined a new style name.

In honor of the upcoming holiday, here are some pretty, subtle, little pops of pink

Although I dream of a pink sofa, its just not in the card. Boys ruin everything. But…its shocking how much a little bouquet of pink flowers can add to a room. Check out picture #1 and #4, just enough pink with something so easy. No boy will complain about pink flowers, so its a perfection solution for those struggling with adding a pop-o-pink. 

Have a fantastic weekend! In Chicago we are expecting temperatures in the 40s… sounds like beach weather to me!!!

i love pops of pink just as much as the next girl (maybe more). i’ve decided the perfect pop of pink is a chair…






don’t you agree? if its one lonely pink chair, its perfect. if its a set of pink chairs around a table, its perfect.

and here is my personal favorite pink chair. i was hoping it would be on lee kleinhelter’s one kings lane sale the other night, but no such luck. this one is from pieces. if you buy it for me for my birthday i will be insanely appreciative. ill bake you cookies! its an even trade, right?
