Hello everyone!  It’s Elizabeth and Annie from THE NOW.  We’re thrilled to be guest blogging on TTS today… after all, Alex is one of our blogging besties! 
Today we’re taking you on a little tour of our dream home.  Well, make that our dream NOW Getaway.  Every blogging duo needs one, right?  After all, we both live in Dallas with our guys (E with her hubby, and A with her hubby-to-be), but wouldn’t it be nice to have that perfect, girly getaway to jet off to every once in awhile?  Our dream home is located in Manhattan, and there’s plenty of room for the two of us to have master suites of our own.  Plus, we threw in a darling bunk room for our little nieces and nephews.  Oh, and for any of you who want to come visit us!

 I love when rooms have a little bit of moody glamor to them.

 What I love is that moody doesn’t have to mean dark.
And a moody glam nursery?? Insane! And yeah I think I just coined a new style name.

Unusual light fixtures is one of those luxuries that completely MAKES a room. I have a serious lighting wishlist for my own house. Only 2 of which have been fulfilled since we moved in. The closet and the guest bedroom. Next up, kitchen island and bedroom.

This would be so boring without those bubbles, don’t you think?

Sort of looks like this fixture, but adorned with vines and flowers. So romantical.

Seen this before and I LOVE it. A softer more feminine sputnik.

My fantasy light fixture. Seriously. Insanity.
Don’t even know what to say. Its just good.

 Do you have a light fixture that is #1 on your wish list? Am I insane for writing this passionately about lighting? (don’t answer that one)

Do you like your girly with a little bit of an edge? I do. How to accomplish this? 1 part metal (gold or silver) + 1 part black + 1 part unexpected crazy (you don’t need all three just one works too)
Do you love this as much as I do? Yup, perfect!

i love to eat. like really eat. and the thought of being able to eat a nice big meal on a couch, but still be at a table pretending to be a lady… sounds perfect. banquettes are made for fat kids. and people who like pretty things.

whether its a bed on an angle, a turquoise ceiling, a heavy duty chain to tie back your curtains, or mixing uber traditional furniture with abstract art… i like it. the juxtaposition wakes you up.

i love the dark wood cabinets, quartzite counter tops, and glass back splash that my condo came with but… there is NOTHING like a white kitchen. the house i grew up in had the most beautiful, classic white kitchen. and these ones shown here are close to perfection.

these pops of pink are things i could only dream of. i admit it, i just don’t have the guts for a pink kitchen cabinets, pink lacquer coffee table, or zebra doors in pink room. but wow, do i LOVE it in other people’s houses.
