Guest Post: Born & Bread

I can always offer you lovely readers some fun little fashion finds, but I am most definitely not an expert. In an effort to bring you a little something new and different, we have a guest post today from some very talented ladies in fashion. Julie and Lauren have one of my favorite blogs, Born & Bread, and are incredibly talented. Today they are here to share some GORGEOUS options for spring! Hope you enjoy!

We’re so excited to be at Things that Sparkle today! When it comes to interior design, we love how Alex takes sophisticated concepts and translates them into creative, yet accessible variations appropriate for the home.

At B&B we aim to inspire our readers in the same way by bringing the runway to reality in both style and price. We love blogging about high fashion and street trends alike, but the trick is to interpret the best of these outfits into your everyday wardrobe.
For our guest post today, we’re inspired by Prada’s Spring 2011 ad campaign that elicits the feel of the legendary jazz age entertainer, Josephine Baker. The flamboyant ad captures various warm weather trends such as bright colors, bold prints and modified silhouettes.

To achieve this look we’ve scoured high and low to find these great pieces. The free-spirited pieces are a bit daring, but we say go bold and mix and match the pieces into your wardrobe for the most modern look.

Discovery: The Coveted

So recently I got an email that got me thinking about closets… Would you want someone peaking inside yours? I feel a little shy about it, but the thing is, I LOVE looking at other people’s. Love love when other bloggers post pictures of theirs. So I almost died when I read about a new website, The Coveted. Its basically like the Selby but for closets only. I’m in heaven.

These gorgeous shots come from the closets of the Senior Market Fashion editor at Harpers Bazaar, the Fashion Market Editor at Teen Vogue and the Director of Communications & Celebrity at Helmut Lang and Theory. Could you just die? So far there has only been one group of pictures posted on January 21st, but I’m really crossing my fingers that there will be many more.

I only posted a small sampling so I would definitely suggest heading over to take a looksie. And yes, The Coveted has totally got me inspired to get my closet in order to share with all of you.
