another great example of christina murphy’s beautiful, colorful work. love this retro beach cottage that was featured in house beautiful this month. i am not a huge fan of homes having a “theme” (green). but i think this is a pretty cute house. the entire concept was done around the painted lily pad floor in the living room. its a refreshing change from beach houses done in accents of blue.

i especially LOVE that painting above the mantle.

absolutely love these two black and white rooms. similar “themes” but such different feels. the painted wood floor and white cabinetry is so modern, and in this case a little masculine. whereas the family room shot is warm and a little more on the traditional side. i love them both but if you made me choose… i’d go with the second. gawwwgeous.

i admit it. i have not seen the first sex and the city movie, and will therefore, definitely not be seeing the second. however, if, in the near future, i give in and go to see it, it will go be because i was informed they spent over 100 million dollars on the wardrobe. yes. might be worth it for the fashion show value. anywaysss, pictures of carrie’s home have been circulating the blogosphere and i must say, i love this living room. its too cute.

these rooms arent all around incredible. but there were things that drew me to them: black and white tiled stairs, pops of pink and a barely visible suzani throw, hermes inspired entry hall, and some seriously over the top decor. what do you think?

Apartment Therapy also featured this little bungalow. that i love. pops of color everywhere. warm, comfy and lived in. ill take it. i did not include pictures of the bedroom (because i don’t like it) and the kitchen (because it gives me anxiety). other wise L.O.V.E.

Apartment Therapy has been featuring small, cool apartments. and i love a lot of them. surprised by how many im dying over. my only complaint with this one, is that it doesnt feel lived in, it has a hotel feel. other than that, its gorgeous. love the pink chair, fabric is unreal. painting over the couch. booth at the dining table. gorg. soo… this is my runner up.

will always be my favorite neutral. a sort of masculine room… without being tough. love that little hint of trellis in the corner.
