Although I dream of a pink sofa, its just not in the card. Boys ruin everything. But…its shocking how much a little bouquet of pink flowers can add to a room. Check out picture #1 and #4, just enough pink with something so easy. No boy will complain about pink flowers, so its a perfection solution for those struggling with adding a pop-o-pink.

i love mirrors. they make rooms appear larger and brighter. two very important qualities! i especially love the idea of a mirrored wall.

using antiqued mirror gives a softer look and laying it down in panels or tiles (without a frame) makes it modern.

today issue #2 of Rue Magazine came out. it was the most perfect cure for this gloomy, rainy, monday morning. i sat in bed and oogled every single page. it was amazing. the second half of it even more so (the first half seemed to be a lot of things other than home decor). the vignette shots in this magazine are absolutely to die for and trust me, i saved them all. but for now, i will share some of my favorite rooms.

i love pops of pink just as much as the next girl (maybe more). i’ve decided the perfect pop of pink is a chair…






don’t you agree? if its one lonely pink chair, its perfect. if its a set of pink chairs around a table, its perfect.

and here is my personal favorite pink chair. i was hoping it would be on lee kleinhelter’s one kings lane sale the other night, but no such luck. this one is from pieces. if you buy it for me for my birthday i will be insanely appreciative. ill bake you cookies! its an even trade, right?

i love to eat. like really eat. and the thought of being able to eat a nice big meal on a couch, but still be at a table pretending to be a lady… sounds perfect. banquettes are made for fat kids. and people who like pretty things.
